Ever wondered what it took to be a formal BBQ judge just like those seen on TV? Now is your chance to join those ranks.
As part of the four+ hour class, you will learn how to judge competition BBQ by scoring on taste, tenderness, and appearance. You will also learn allowed and disallowed display techniques and actually score (and eat!) competition entries in all four KCBS categories: Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork, and Beef Brisket. You will get a chance to discuss scores, as well as give and receive feedback from your peers. If you are either a new competitor, foodie, BBQ enthusiast, or just want bragging rights with your friends, then enroll in the class and you’ll get some real insights into what constitutes a winning entry in the judges’ eyes.
